The senior management team looked at the fact that there was some potential opportunities and feel they want to recommend at this point in time, a lease option for the fire hall and look for a tenant," Brown explained. "I understand there may be a requirement from council to see if there are other expressions of interest...but we want to get moving on it."
"The goal of any lease would be to have a triple-net lease," he added in his report to council. "This type of lease ensures that the tenant is responsible for all reasonable costs, including maintenance and repairs, insurance, utilities, etc. Any rental revenues could be used as council desires."
